COMPANY HISTORY

Avalon was first established as Ward’s Outdoor in 1979, building carports and patios, sheds and free-standing games rooms. Over the years, Ward’s built up a reputation for strong, quality constructions and excellent workmanship.

The patio & carport market proved to be the basis for successful expansion into larger steel structures, and experience in the construction industry allowed for more custom-made jobs. Managing director Eddy Ward’s developing interest in horses made the cross into stables an obvious choice.

After some time the need for better quality equipment and a larger factory space initiated the move to our present location just off Great Eastern Highway in Midland, after residing in a smaller factory for the better part of a decade.

Since the beginning back in ‘79, staff numbers have increased, sales have grown and the business name and products have changed – yet the quality of work remains consistent.

With over 20 years experience manufacturing steel-based structures, Eddy is looking towards the future – with new designs and ideas to keep changing and improving standards of construction.
